About ​Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas - Midland

Nonprofit organization.

This location provides FREE civil legal help to low-income residents of the city of Midland.


- Household i​ncome must be at 125% or below of the Federal Poverty Guidelines to be financially eligible.

- If is greater than 125% but less than 200%, you may be eligible depending upon other economic factors.

- Must live within the service area or have a legal problem in their service area.​

- Must be either United States citizens or legal aliens.

- Must avoid conflicts of interest.

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get legal aid from some offices, they use a sliding fee scale. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
