Provides free legal services to Georgians with low incomes who reside outside metro Atlanta in 154 of the state's 159 counties.

Georgia Legal Services Program provides free civil legal services to low-income or senior-aged Georgians for a wide variety of legal matters, including:

    Housing: Eviction prevention, foreclosure defense, landlord-tenant disputes, fair housing.
    Income: Public benefits, unemployment insurance, tax law.
    Family: Divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence.
    Health: Guardianship, probate, mental health law.
    Consumer: Debt collection, predatory lending, identity theft.
    Other: Immigration, bankruptcy, expungements, criminal record

I need help filing bankruptcy. I am a senior citizen on ssa, living in section 8 housing. I can not afford attorney fees which cost $2,500 or above.
