Her Justice engages the talent and resources of New York City's law firms, bringing together committed lawyers and determined women to secure life-changing results. Our wide network of contacts at legal and social services agencies, hospitals and clinics, the courts and police precincts, churches and shelters, helps to spread the word about Her Justices free legal services in family, divorce and immigration law. Her Justice provides free legal help in family law, divorce and immigration to low-income women living in New York City. Most of our clients are survivors of domestic violence, though this is not a requirement.

Her Justice conducts intake of new clients by phone every Tuesday from 10:00 am2:00 pm 718-562-8181 and in person any week day, between 9:00 am5:00 pm.


Mission Statement: Her Justice stands with women living in poverty in New York City by recruiting and mentoring volunteer lawyers to provide free legal help to address individual and systemic legal barriers.

Hello my name is Ciara I’m really hope someone can help me with a lawyer I have a free legal aid but I feel he’s not fighting for me as much as I fight for my children We just started trial for moving to Florida when the father said I can move and after I got married he told me I couldn’t move with my chicks anymore me and my husband have an apartment ready over in Florida when it was time for me to leave but since I took the father back to court bc he didn’t want me to leave to Florida all of a sudden now the judge put me to go through trail I really need a good lawyer I’m the one who takes care of my children the father doesn’t help at all when I do need some help my husband helps when I need it the father has also been violating him picking up the girls every weekend he sees his kids 2 or sometimes 1 time out of a month so if anyone can help me I really need the help when I look for try to reach out for my lawyer I can never be able to contact him also we had a meeting to meet before this rona our break and instead of calling me to cancel I traveled all the way to 161 pregnant to find out where he’s location was at was close I found it very unprofessional
