About MetroWest Legal Services

MetroWest Legal Services provides free civil legal aid to low-income people who would be denied justice without our help. Our priority practice areas include: Family Law, Housing, Homeless Advocacy, Government Benefits (including Social Security), Education, Elder Law & Immigration. With the exception of the Community Enterprise Project, your income cannot exceed 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If you think you meet our eligibility requirements you can apply online or by phone at 508-620-1830 or 1-800-696-1501 and an intake worker will determine whether we can help you.

6 $35,160

*Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines.
These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get legal aid from some offices, they use a sliding fee scale. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.
