I live and rent in Las Cruces. My lease expires the end of this month (May). I expect to get a 30-day notice at that time. My rent is paid through the end May so it is my understanding that I have no legal argument to stop this notice. My stuff and I must be out by the end of June, at least in normal times. This is not normal times...there is a covid-19 pandemic going on and there is a stay-at-home order in New Mexico. Every time I hear about it, they say that it is especially important for the elderly. I am 81 years old, which makes me elderly. How do I stay at home and look for a new rental? I do not have the strength and energy to pack and move, so I will need to hire a moving crew. How do I keep a 6-foot distance from crew members and see to it that what needs to be packed in which box is done? I do not see it as a stretch that being forced to make this move is going to kill me. Is this my current property manager's premeditated murder of me? Mike

I am the NMSU Student Program Coordinator. I wanted to inquire about your services, I have a particular client who is needing help in properly writing a letter that she needs for her immigration process. I just wanted to know if you offer this type of assistance.

Legal Aid Funding
Legal aid professionals and organizations oftentimes receive government funding for taking on cases with those who cannot afford attorneys. For the most part, funding is limited so legal aid entities can only take on a limited amount of cases. Qualifications are often rigid.
