Who they are:
    A program of the University of Maine School of Law, providing free legal services to low-income individuals and families.
    Represented by "student attorneys" – law students specially licensed to assist under close supervision of experienced faculty.

What they do:
    Handle civil, criminal, juvenile, and family law matters in southern Maine courts (Cumberland, York, Sagadahoc, and Androscoggin counties).
    Represent clients at both trial and appellate levels.
    Focus on cases where legal representation is crucial and resources from other providers are limited.

Important information:
    $10 administrative fee applies. Court and other significant costs may be required in some cases.
    Resources are limited, so they cannot accept every case.
    They don't offer legal advice over the phone or on a walk-in basis, but maintain a waiting list.
