I signed a year (3/1/2019 to 3/1/2020) lease on 2/21/2019 for a lot in Stover Heights Retirement Community mobile home park. At the time of the lease park was owned by Kim Sharp and managed by Triplett Companies. On 4/24/2019 received a letter from Kim Sharp that the park is now under new ownership. New owners Strive Communities left a letter and a FAQ on my door, on top of FAQ it is stated that our existing lease rules and regulations will be honored and remain in place. Our lease states that water and sewer is provided by Stover Heights, also that 30.00 late fee will be charged when rent is not paid by the 5th of the month. I paid a $500.00 security deposit that lease states should be returned on 3/1/2020. On 10/1/19 there was a bill in the name of Jerry Behrendsen for lot 40 left at my door. Water and sewer charge for 34.61 for service dates of 4/24/19 to 6/20/2019. Called and emailed message that lot was under wrong name and that lease states we don't pay for water and sewage. In December there was a Important notice from Strive left in the mailbox once again in the name of Jerry Behrendsen for lot 40. I wrote another note letting them know that they had the wrong name for lot 40 and signed it Bill Pardekooper. At the end of February of this year received a bill in the mail for William Pardekooper (I go by Bill but my legal name is Howard not William) with a past due notice of 133.75 and new water and sewer charges. I have spoken with manager and he stated he would pass our information on the corporate. As of today the past due amount is 301.90. I have paid all rent on time, paid March, April and May's water and sewer charges. Strive has not returned the deposit of 500.00, nor update their records by removing past due amount. Can you assist in this matter? Thank you, Howard Pardekooper

Legal Aid Funding
Legal aid professionals and organizations oftentimes receive government funding for taking on cases with those who cannot afford attorneys. For the most part, funding is limited so legal aid entities can only take on a limited amount of cases. Qualifications are often rigid.
