We provide free legal services in restraining order and limited family law matters for domestic violence victims in Alameda County. With lawyers on staff, Family Violence Law Center is well-equipped to guide victims through the court systems.


We work with people who need help with:

    *Domestic Violence Prevention Act restraining orders
    *Child custody filings (as attached to a domestic violence restraining order)
    *Visitation requests (as attached to a domestic violence restraining order)

Mission Statement: Family Violence Law Center helps diverse communities in Alameda County heal from domestic violence and sexual assault, advocating for justice and healthy relationships. We provide survivor-centered legal and crisis intervention services, offer prevention education for youth and other community members, and engage in policy work to create systemic change.
